Adams & Martin Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity with a highly regarded San Francisco litigation firm.

This is a true temp-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and transition into a long-term role with a respected legal team. The firm is seeking a polished, proactive professional who thrives in a litigation environment and is willing to take ownership of both paralegal and legal secretarial responsibilities.

Litigation calendaring experience is absolutely required for this role. Candidates must have a strong understanding of litigation deadlines, court rules, and the ability to manage and track critical dates in fast-paced, active litigation matters.

Schedule & Location

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility available)
  • Onsite in San Francisco
  • Potential for hybrid schedule after successful onboarding and conversion

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred
  • Strong defense litigation background highly desired
  • Extensive litigation calendaring experience is required
  • Experience managing court deadlines, hearing dates, filing deadlines, and attorney calendars
  • Strong drafting and legal writing skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to handle both substantive paralegal work and legal secretarial support
  • Proficiency with Clio and LexisNexis

Key Responsibilities

Paralegal Duties (80%)

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and legal correspondence
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review, productions, and e-discovery coordination
  • Prepare exhibits, trial binders, deposition materials, and hearing notebooks
  • Review and summarize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documents
  • Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis
  • Maintain case files and matter management within Clio
  • Assist attorneys with case strategy, preparation, and billing-related support
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors

Legal Secretarial Duties (20%)

  • Maintain litigation calendars and track all court deadlines, filing dates, hearings, and other critical case deadlines
  • Coordinate depositions, meetings, and court appearances
  • E-file documents in California state and federal courts
  • Format, proofread, and finalize legal documents
  • Manage attorney schedules and daily litigation support needs
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred
  • Strong litigation calendaring experience is a must
  • Discovery, case management, and trial preparation experience
  • Experience reviewing medical records and preparing exhibits
  • Proficiency in Clio and LexisNexis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
